1. What should we wear to our family session?

I always recommend wearing clothes you feel comfortable in, with soft, neutral tones or earthy colours that photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos or busy patterns. I’m happy to help with outfit inspo and you will be sent my style guide when you book.

What happens if the kids don’t cooperate?

That’s totally okay — I expect a bit of chaos! I work with your family’s energy, not against it. Sometimes the in-between moments, the giggles, the cuddles, or even the tears make the most beautiful photos.

3. How long does the session take?

Family sessions typically run for 45–60 minutes, but I’m never watching the clock. It’s all about going with the flow and giving your family space to relax.

4. Where do sessions take place?

I offer both in-home and outdoor sessions. Whether it’s your backyard, the beach, the bush, or your living room — I’ll help you choose a location that fits your family’s vibe.

5. What if the weather is bad?

If it’s pouring or blowing a gale, we’ll reschedule to a new date. Overcast skies, however, are often perfect for soft, even lighting! Depending on your session I also have a studio we can use but we will be in contact the week leading up to your session so can go over all our options and make a plan together.

6. When will we get our photos back?

You’ll receive your full gallery within 2–3 weeks, beautifully edited and ready to download, share, or print.

7. Can we include extended family (grandparents, cousins, etc.)?

Yes, absolutely. This is called an Extended Family Session.

Every family is so different so if you let me know how many extras you want to include I can give you a price. It's roughly $195 per extra family. Just let me know beforehand so I can allow extra time and plan accordingly.

8. Do you give us all the photos?

You’ll receive a curated gallery of the best moments - all fully edited. I focus on quality over quantity, so you’re not overwhelmed with near-duplicates or closed eyes.
